Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Dana Haughton came into fame in 1994, after she debuted her first album Age Ain't Nothing But a number. Her album, which was launched when she was only 15 years old it went Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the artist into the spotlight. In 1996 Jermaine Durpri along with Timbaland collaborated to produce her sophomore album One In A Million. The album included the song If Your Boyfriend only Knew as the single number one. Aaliyah achieved international recognition for her R&B singing on this album. The year 2000 saw her co-starred with the martial arts icon Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. She got this role following an interview with director Joel Silver at an awards event. Queen of the Damned was her first film role in 2002. It is based off the Anne Rice novel. She also was on screen in The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions. In 1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003 she was nominated for four Grammy Awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. She is a first-generation Indian-American who was born in Connecticut. Mann is a contraction of her husband's last name Mankad. But, she has both Aarti Mann as well as Aarti Majumdar for her professional names. Though she started her career by playing minor film and television parts, her acting career started to gain speed in the late 2000s. In addition to The Big Bang Theory, her notable other works include Leverage (2013) Suits (2014) and Grey's Anatomy (2017.) In addition, she has appeared in important commercials featuring brands like Volvo, an international auto maker. She lives in Los Angeles where she continues to perform as an actress.
