Catherine Louise Sagal, better called Katey Sagal, is an American actress, singer-songwriter who first made it big with her portrayal of the wife and mother in the show 'Peg Bundy' the comedy show "Married .... with Children'. Her varied roles show that she is both a versatile and talented performer. Her character as "Gemma Teller Morrow" Matriarch of the Hell's Angels-inspired California biker gang on Kurt Sutter's FX show, "Sons of Anarchy", won her an award called a Golden Globe. Other roles she has voiced include voicing the character 'Leela in the show Futurama, and several animated movies. Her initial passion has been singing and song writing. In her youth she sang part of a band that recorded a few albums. Also, she was part of the music track of 'Sons of Anarchy'.
